Big Chase Updates: CSR Overhaul, New Business Card, Vacation Rentals & More

Chase just made a lot of moves to elevate their rewards ecosystem—and there’s a lot to unpack. Whether you’re a longtime Chase Sapphire Reserve (CSR) fan or a business owner looking for premium perks, these changes are worth a closer look.

Revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve: Higher Rewards, Bigger Credits

The new CSR now earns 8x points on all Chase Travel purchases (flights, hotels, car rentals, cruises, experiences—basically everything) and 4x on flights and hotels booked direct. A major addition is the $500 annual credit at The Edit, Chase’s curated hotel collection with 1,100+ luxury properties—plus IHG Platinum Elite status and elevated dining perks through the new $300 Sapphire Reserve dining credit (auto-applied at select restaurants, no pre-booking needed).

The card also introduces Points Boost, a new way to get more value when redeeming points on flights and hotels. Flights in Economy (excluding Basic), Premium Economy, Business, and First will get up to 2x redemption value depending on the airline and cabin. And it’s not limited to Chase Travel’s hotels either—thousands of top routes and hotels will qualify. Airlines at launch include United, Air Canada, Southwest, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and more.

With all these enhancements comes a higher price tag: the annual fee is now $795, with authorized users at $195. But spend $75,000 annually, and you unlock additional premium perks (see below for more on that).

Introducing the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business Card

Chase also dropped a premium business version of the CSR—and it’s no slouch. You’ll get the same 8x/4x travel earnings, $300 travel credit, $500 The Edit credit, Points Boost, and IHG Platinum Elite status. Plus, it throws in a $120 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck/NEXUS credit, Priority Pass lounge access, and unique partner credits for advertising and other business expenses.

Annual fee is also $795, but with no fee for employee cards, it’s well suited for business owners who want to hand out perks to their team. Like the personal version, it offers premium benefits unlocked at higher spend thresholds.

Points Boost: A New Way to Get More From Your Points

The newly introduced Points Boost program is Chase’s answer to making redemptions feel more valuable. It boosts the value of your Ultimate Rewards points when you redeem for select flights and hotels through Chase Travel.

  • Flights: Redemptions will get up to 2x value, including Economy (non-Basic), Premium Economy, Business, and First Class cabins.

  • Hotels: The entire Edit collection will get 2x value, and thousands of other popular properties will also be included.

  • Expect dynamic offers depending on the route, airline, and card you hold. The feature rolls out across the Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve (personal and business), Ink Business Preferred, and Ink Plus.

Chase Travel Adds Vacation Homes to the Mix

In July, Chase Travel will launch Vacation Home Rentals, giving cardmembers access to thousands of vacation properties—with 8x points earnings when using eligible cards. That means you can now rack up huge rewards on everything from a beach house to a ski chalet—all booked through Chase Travel.

Other Notables

  • Dining Credit (CSR only): A new $300 dining credit applies automatically at select upscale restaurants via Chase’s Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables Program. No need to book through OpenTable or prepay—just dine and spend.

  • New Online Banking Feature: You can now move credit limits across Chase cards online—no phone call needed. Here's how it works: The Points Guy explains it.
